WSU Student-Athletes Excel In The Classroom

June 5, 2003

Wayne State University student-athletes had an excellent semester (Winter 2003) with four recording perfect 4.00 grade-point averages: Michael Davis (men's tennis - graduate school), Jason Jweda (men's swimming), Ryan Oshnock (football), and Nick Pappas (football). To be eligible for honor roll status, a student-athlete must receive at least 12 term credit hours.

Fifty-seven (57) student-athletes earned Athletic Director's Honor Roll status (term gpa 3.5+). All total 107 of WSU's 359 student-athletes earned at least 12 term credit hours and a 3.00 grade-point average. Another 15 student-athletes earned at least a 3.00 gpa for the term but did not complete 12 hours.
