WSU Student-Athletes Graduate At A Higher Rate Than Overall Student Population

According to the latest official 2003 NCAA Division II gradution report, Wayne State University student-athletes entering the university that were receiving athletics aid graduated at 49% compared to the overall student rate of 34%.

WSU Director of Athletics Rob Fournier stated "These kind of results are a testament to the hard-work and dedication of our student-athletes. We have put an emphasis on the graduation of our student-athletes and this objective continues to show improvement. I am confident there is a correlation between our success on the field and our success in the classroom."

Female student-athletes graduated at 65% compared to the student body rate of 36%. Male student-athletes graduated at 41% compared to the student body rate of 31%.
