BAY CITY, Mich. - The Wayne State University baseball team was picked to finish in third place according to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
preseason coaches' poll, released Wednesday afternoon by the league office.

The Warriors received 37 points in the voting, trailing Grand Valley State (48) and Ashland (42). Northwood was tabbed for fourth (33), followed by Saginaw Valley State (21), Findlay (18), Tififn (17) and Hillsdale (8).
Head coach
Ryan Kelley has 18 returning letterwinners from a 2009 squad which won 25 games, more than any other first-year head coach in program history, and qualified for the GLIAC Tournament for the fifth time in six years.
Through eight games in 2010, the Warriors have a 5-3 record and will play eight more games over the next five days at the RussMatt Invitational in Winter Haven, Fla., beginning Thursday.
