Kickoffs are an area the Warriors are hoping to improve. Incoming freshman Stefan Terleckyj will be given the task. “One of our biggest problems last year was we didn't kickoff very well,” head coach Paul Winters said. “He (Stefan) is a strong kickoff guy, so we know he'll change that. Hopefully, he'll give us more accuracy and add distance on our field goals also.”

Josh Renel and Stan Thornton will hold down the returns. “Obviously both are veterans and they've done it in games and we're excited about that,” Winters added.

Cory Zauner is the long snapper. His back up, Mike Komor, was recruited exclusively to handle the long snapping duties, but will most likely be redshirted this season. Zack George is slated to be the punter.

"The kicking positions were huge holes that needed to be filled since we graduated two seniors last year," commented assistant coach Logan Hughes.  "It was a main focus of the coaching staff during the recruiting process. We believe we have three great kickers who are going to push each other all season long."

Kickers coach Logan Hughes thoughts on each player (alphabetically):

Zack George (P, 6-1, 215, r-Sr., 2L) -- "With the departure of Branko Hamilton, we needed to find a punter who could get the job done. Zack began punting last spring and has done a great job. He has a very strong leg and we look for big things out of him this season."

Stefan Terleckyj (PK/P, 6-2, 184, Fr.) -- "Stefan has done a nice job stepping in as a true freshman. He's already ahead of the game because he began kicking off the ground during his senior year in high school. Stefan has a powerful leg and is very accurate on his kicks. He will battle for the punting and kicking duties and we look for him to play a big role in our success this season."

Rami Yousif (PK/P, 5-11, 189, r-Fr.) -- "Rami has done a great job during fall camp. He has shown great improvement and, if he continues to get better, will fight for both the punting and kicking jobs. We look forward to a big year from Rami."
