Bell Leads Saints With 142 All-Purpose Yards In Win At Oakland

Former Warrior rushes for 50 yards and has 92 yards receiving.


Former Wayne State University running back Joique Bell (Benton Harbor, Mich.) accumulated a team best 50 yards rushing in last night's win for the New Orleans Saints at Oakland.

Bell also led the Saints with 92 receiving yards.

According to the New Orleans Saints website

Joique Bell in his return following a knee injury that caused him to miss the second preseason contest, had six carries for 50 yards, and two receptions for 92 yards, including a screen pass from Daniel, where he broke several tackles in rambling down the sideline for a 60-yard gain, the longest play from scrimmage for the preseason by New Orleans. Bell also had a one-yard touchdown dive on the last play of the third quarter to extend New Orleans' lead to 32-20.

Bell also scored on a two-point conversion following the last touchdown of the game.
