The 2011 Wayne State University football team has received the highest national ranking ever by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).  The Warriors are ranked ninth in this week's AFCA poll, the eighth consecutive WSU has been in the top 25.

Five of last week's top 10 squads suffered setbacks on Saturday, while Wayne State defeated visiting Michigan Tech, 27-10.

The Warriors embark on a stretch that has them playing four of the next five games away from Adams Field starting this Saturday with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Ohio Dominican.
