Green, Ohio - The Wayne State women's tennis team (11-1, 11-1 GLIAC) won 8-1 in dominating fashion Friday afternoon at Malone (6-12, 1-11 GLIAC). Today's win marks the 10th victory in a row for the women's squad as they wrap up GLIAC play this weekend in Ohio.

Julia Kamenko (Thornhill, Ont. / Vaughan S.S.), Alex Poissant (Laval, Que. / Vanier Prep) and Anne Li Briand (Repentigny, Que. / École Secondaire Félix-Leclerc) all kept their unbeaten streaks alive today as they are now a combined 36-0 in singles play. Those nearly guaranteed points in the middle of singles play provides this team with the confidence that they can beat any team they are faced with.

The bottom end of the draw was held down Friday as well as Jessica Kruczek (Detroit, Mich. / Lakeview) took home a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #5 singles while Tanya Joseph (Northville, Mich. / Northville) was a winner 6-0, 6-0 at #6 singles. The pair also earned a point at #3 doubles with a 9-7 win.

Up next for the Warriors will be Walsh University Saturday at 10:00 AM down in North Canton.
