"Ryan is a player who has played many high school sports," stated Morrow.  "He has never been committed to just tennis. Ryan is very athletic and I expect he will improve very quickly. I think Ryan will have a chance to make the top six next spring."

Reed was selected All-State each of his first three seasons (Division 4 First Team) and reached the semifinals of the Division 4 No. 1 singles flight at the state tournament helping the Gryphons to the state team title.  He earned All-Huron League honors three times and was selected Monroe Evening News Region Player of the Year as a junior while at Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central.  He also competed in golf for one year and has earned academic honor roll accolades for two years.  Reed has served as a tennis team captain.  He plans to major in business at WSU.

"Paul is a very high level high school and junior player," commented Morrow.  "We will need to replace Thomas (Ducret), Oscar (Gamarra) and Jon (Groszek) and I think Paul should fit right in."
