Wayne State University junior tennis player Oscar Gamarra (Guayaquil, Ecuador) has been voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District ® Men's At-Large First Team for District IV.

The Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

This is the second time in his career Gamarra has earned Academic All-District accolades after being voted to the Second Team in 2011.  He also earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors on the court a year ago.

Gamarra has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.5+) all five semesters at WSU including three 4.00 terms.

A finance major with a minor in economics, he will enter his senior season ninth in all-time singles wins (36) and sixth in doubles wins (41).
