Saint Leo, Fla. - The Wayne State women's tennis team was overwhelmed by Saint Leo University on Friday afternoon 8-1. This was the second of a three day stretch of matches in Florida for the ladies.

The Warriors fell behind 1-2 after doubles play as Julia Kamenko (Thornhill, Ont. / Vaughan S.S.) and Alex Poissant (Laval, Que. / Vanier Prep) managed an 8-4 victory in the second flight of doubles play. WSU lost at first doubles 4-8 and third doubles 2-8.

Singles play is where Saint Leo really pulled away however. Poissant and Anne Li Briand (Repentigny, Que. / École Secondaire Félix-Leclerc) were dealt matching (0-6, 1-6) losses at third and fourth singles respectively.

Up next for the Warriors is Montana State University-Billings on Saturday at 9:00am.
