VARSITY CLUB BOARD MISSION AND STRUCTURE
Our goal in athletics is based on our needs as a department to enhance the student-athlete experience as well as improve the athletic campus and create a championship atmosphere for Wayne State student-athletes. A major mission of the University is to achieve an increasing level of excellence in the quality of its programs and to enhance the visibility and recognition of the University as a whole. Students who participate in intercollegiate athletics are directly involved in the implementation of this mission of excellence, and by such participation, provide a unifying objective of community and University.

The Varsity Club is composed of student-athlete alumni leaders representing each of the sport programs at WSU and will keep the alumni fully informed, to reflect the views of the alumni on matters affecting athletics and get together to enjoy, sponsor and promote activities that benefit Wayne State University and the Department of Athletics.
