Limback, a native of Mt. Clemens, Mich., lettered four years on Wayne State's baseball team and two years on the football team. Although he attended Wayne State on a football scholarship and played in every game of the two football seasons, he was better known for his excellence on the baseball field. Limback earned varsity letters in baseball in 1979, 1980, 1981, and 1982. He also lettered for Wayne State in football in 1978 and 1979. During these four years, Limback received Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) honors in baseball in 1979 (Honorable Mention). He also earned GLIAC Second Team honors in 1980 and was twice named to the GLIAC First Team (1981 and 1982). He garnered the GLIAC "Most Valuable Player" honor in 1982 while serving as team captain of the Tartar squad in 1982 and 1983. A 1984 graduate of Wayne State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Science, Limback finished the 1981 season as Wayne States batting champion with a .420 average. In the 1982 season Limback finished first in home runs with 11, total bases with 97, and runs batted in with 56. He finished the 1982 season tied for first in sacrifice flies with five, and was third in slugging percentage with a .741 mark. For his career, Limback established Wayne State records in games played (277), extra bases (55), sacrifice flies (7), and runs batted in (129). Before attending Wayne, Limback excelled in football, baseball and wrestling at Mt. Clemens Clintondale High School. At Clintondale, he received All-County honors in football, baseball and wrestling while also being named Honorable Mention All-State in football. Limback is currently the general manager for the University Am Can Limited Company. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Huntersville, North Carolina, with their two sons, Matthew and Nicolas.
