NORTHWOOD GAME STORYLINES

The Wayne State University football team (5-3 overall, 5-2 GLIAC) will try to rebound from a disappointing home loss to Indianapolis last Saturday when the Warriors travel to Midland to face 17th-ranked Northwood (6-1 overall and GLIAC).

The Timberwolves had six turnovers in a setback at #1-Grand Valley last Saturday.

A win in Midland would give WSU four consecutive road victories for the first time since 1977.

Northwood athletic director and head coach Pat Riepma has an 82-63-2 record in his 14th year in Midland.

THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

Wayne State trails 15-12 in the all-time series which began in 1975. Northwood has won the last nine meetings, five of which were at Hantz Stadium.

IN THE POLLS

Wayne State was tabbed for ninth in the GLIAC pre-season coaches poll.

The Timberwolves were ranked fourth by the GLIAC coaches.
