Redshirt sophomore Lyndsay Butler tossed a complete-game victory at #24 Ashland in game one of a doubleheader. She struck out eight and walked one while allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits. Butler earned the save in the nightcap by tossing three scoreless innings with two strikeouts and no walks and facing just 10 batters. For the twinbill, Butler went 1-0 with a save, a 0.70 ERA and 10 strikeouts to one walk.

Offensively, she batted .500 (4-for-8) with three runs scored and an RBI single that put WSU ahead 2-0 in game one. Butler also played errorless defense.
