Lyndsay Butler (Cambridge, Ont. / Centennial C.V.I.) went 3-1 last week with the only setback being a 1-0 decision in nine innings at Saginaw Valley State on Sunday. She was selected GLIAC Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this year as announced by the league on April 27th. She was also named GLIAC Player of the Week once earlier this campaign.She struck out 34 batters in 27.2 innings, while compiling a 0.76 earned-run average. Her WHIP (walk + hits per inning) was 0.79 as Butler allowed 18 hits and four walks.

Since the start of April, Butler is 11-1 with two saves in 15 appearances. She has struck out 119 batters while walking 10 and surrendering just six extra-base hits (all doubles) in 85.1 innings. Butler has compiled a 0.49 ERA with an opponent batting average of .146.

Wayne State won the GLIAC regular-season title and will enter this weekend's conference tournament as the No. 1 seed. WSU will play the eighth-seeded Tiffin Dragons at 10 a.m. on Friday in the opening round.
