Sophomore Sydney Vaughn (Canton, Ohio / South) eclipsed the previous school record in the pentathlon by 61 points (set by Callie Brower at the 2014 GLIAC Championships) by totaling 3,082 points.  Vaughn won the long jump (5.20m) and tied-for-first in the high jump (1.61m).

Seventeen (17) members of the Wayne State University women's indoor track and field squad competed at the Jet's Pizza Invitational hosted by Saginaw Valley State on Friday and Saturday.  The pentathlon took place on Friday, while other events were held on Saturday.
