Junior Elizabeth Herriman (Adrian, Mich. / Sand Creek) eclipsed the school record in the discus with a toss of 44.53m, which placed her seventh on Friday at Grand Valley State. Herriman set another school record on Friday by winning the javelin with a provisional mark of 44.45m, which helped her move up nine places according to TFRRS (28th to 19th).
On Saturday at the GVSU Last Chance Meet, she again broke the school record in the javelin with a toss of 44.47m, which is 19th best in Division II this spring. Later in the day, she shattered her own school record in the discus with a toss of 45.91m, the first provisional mark in this event in school history. Herriman also earned her third provisional mark of the spring in the shot put at a distance of 13.61m.
