Wayne State University Athletics

 The Wayne State University men's golf team concluded its fall season by winning its only home event of the Fall, the Motor City Invitational at TPC Michigan (Par 72 / 7,056 Yards).  The Warriors had three of the 13 total teams in the field.  The 'B' team won the event with a 603 (303, 300), while the 'A' team finished second with a 604 (306, 298) and the 'C' team finished 11th with a 656 (341, 315).

Competing on the 'B' team, sophomore Grant Haefner (Berkley, Mich. / Bloomfield Hills) took home medalist honors with a 145 (73, 72).  Haefner battled senior Jesse Hogan (Kingston, Ont.) and Steffen Heckele of Illinois-Springfield to win a five-hole playoff to secure the first-place trophy.  Hogan carded a 145 (69, 76) to lead the 'B' team to victory.

The Warriors won four events during the fall, including the final three events of the season.
