Junior Nikolas Senkowski (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Avondale) pushed the men's golf team to a runner-up finish at the 2018 GLIAC Championships, which concluded on Sunday. He shot a one-under round of 71 during the final round to tie-for-third with a 220 (76, 73, 71), nearly qualifying for the playoff to determine the individual champion.
It was the best finish for a Wayne State golfer at the GLIACs since Eric Johnson finished second with a 219 (75, 70, 74) in 2010.
