Junior Nastassja Chambers became the 18th player in the 45-year history of Wayne State women's basketball to reach the 1,000-point plateau with her first bucket in Saturday's win over Purdue Northwest. She recorded a team-best 21 points on 10-of-17 shooting in the setback to Parkside, while playing 39 minutes. Chambers let a senior start on Senior Day against the Pride, but came off the bench to connected on 7-of-9 field goal attempts in scoring 17 points. For the weekend, she averaged 19 points, while shooting 65 percent (17-of-26) from the floor. Chambers also contributed seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks.
