Ransom Allen became Wayne State's first men's cross country runner since 2003 (Nick Allen) to win at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday.  Allen defeated 213 other finishing runners to notch the overall 10K victory and did so with a time of 30:38.00, just over 11 seconds faster than second-place Noah Fisher of Findlay.  It's also his fourth overall victory in five events this season along with the Warrior Challenge (September 15), Roy Griak Invitational (September 22) and GLIAC Championship (October 21).  Ransom has now won back-to-back postseason events at the conference and regional levels, and will race for a second-straight season at the NCAA Championships, which will be held at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Mo.
