Anais Ruyssen helped Wayne State to a pair of home victories against Hillsdale and #11-Indianapolis this past week. The redshirt junior went 4-0 across singles and doubles (with Marta Komar), including a match-clinching victory over her UIndy opponent this past Sunday. In that contest, Ruyssen lost the first set 6-4 to Diane Flament, before recording set wins of 6-0 and 7-5 to complete the comeback. She also trailed 5-4 in that final set before rallying back for the triumph. Ruyssen handled HC's Ane Dannhauser 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 this past Friday, which helped WSU to a 6-1 win over the Chargers. With Komar, the dynamic duo allowed just one game point in two matches - posting victories of 6-1 (vs. Melanie Zampardo and Megan Hackman) and 6-0 (vs. Maissane Aik and Maria Fiacan), respectively.
