Eyad Marouf finished two stellar days of action at the 2024 NCAA Fencing Championships on Sunday in Columbus, Ohio.  The junior Warrior advanced to the national semifinals in the men's sabre and won 17 total bouts inside the French Field House to place tied-for-third in the final standings.  He recorded a 17-6 overall record for the five round robin cycles, with a +31-touch differential (97-66).  Marouf, making his second consecutive appearance at the national championships, became WSU's first First Team All-American (top-four finish) since Ahmed Elsayed was a semifinalist in the men's epee during the 2019 NCAA Championships.  He also became the first men's fencer in the sabre to garner the honor since Ziad Elsissy in back-to-back years (2017 and 2018).  Marouf defeated opponents from several larger programs, including Harvard, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Princeton, Boston College, Notre Dame, Duke, Penn State, and Stanford as part of his 17 bout victories.
