Senior Emily Gordon (Northville, Mich.) broke the WSU record in the mile almost a year to the day it was set by Thailyia Christensen. Gordon ran a 4:57.54 at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville to eclipse Christensen's mark of 4:58.23 set on Feb. 3, 2024.
