UIndy transfer Julio Osuna (Tijuana, Mexico / Instituto Mexico) made his mark on the GLIAC Championships right away. Osuna won both the one-meter board (499.30) and three-meter event (527.75) before being named Diver of the Year. The decorated senior became the program's first Diver of the Year since three-time winner and 2021 Wayne State Hall of Fame inductee Dylan Szegedi in 2015 (2012-14-15).
