Jordan Briggs (Muskegon, Mich.) scored a career-high 21 points in Wayne State's 83-75 win over tied-for-22nd-ranked Ferris State on Thursday night. That effort helped the Warriors snap an eight-game losing streak against the Bulldogs dating back to Feb. 27, 2021. That evening, WSU also bested a top-25 opponent for the first time in over seven years. Briggs followed that performance up with 15 points against No. 16 Lake Superior State on Saturday. He shot 47.8% (11-of-23) from the field for the week, including 3-for-9 from deep, and 11-of-11 at the free throw line. The second-year Warrior also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, one block and one steal per game. His block on Saturday came at the final buzzer of regulation and kept the game tied.
