Redshirt sophomore Gabriel Arias (Bogota, Colombia / Liceo Juan Ramón Jiménez) was part of six first-place finishes as Wayne State won the swimming-only Davenport Invite to begin the 2025-26 season on Friday-Saturday.  Individually, Arias won the 200 IM (1:51.10), 400 IM (3:59.26) and 200 back (1:45.46).  When it came to relays, the Warrior was atop the podium for the 200 free relay (1:22.80), 200 medley relay (1:30.23) and 400 medley relay (3:18.93).  Arias also placed third in the 100 breast with a mark of 57.72.
