Senior Kayla Giroux (Flat Rock, Mich.) of the Wayne State University volleyball team hit .419 in a pair of road victories with 33 kills (3.67 per set) and seven errors on 62 total attacks.  Defensively, Giroux racked up 13 total blocks, seven of which were solo, or 1.44 per set.  The veteran helped lead the Warriors to their first win at Michigan Tech since 2016, which was the team's 15th victory of 2025, their most in a single season since 2022.  That Flat Rock product also helped pace Wayne State to its first road sweep of MTU and NMU since 2016.  With the thrilling decision over Northern Michigan, WSU improved to 4-0 in five-set matches after going 1-11 in such situations the last two seasons combined.
