Jotham Nweke (Oak Park, Mich. / Detroit Loyola [Macomb C.C.]) averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and one assist per game in his first two games as a member of the Wayne State University men's basketball team. Starting on Friday in the 101-66 season-opening victory over Michigan-Dearborn, Nweke scored a game-high 18 points (7-of-10 FG, 4-of-6 3FG) in 24 minutes with two boards, two dimes and two swipes. Then on Sunday vs. Ashland, the junior followed that up with a team-high 17 points (7-of-16 FG, 3-of-10 3FG) to go with five rebounds, four blocks and two assists in 31 minutes of action.
