McKenna Ferguson (Grandville, Mich. / Byron Center) of the Wayne State women's basketball team led all scorers with 21 points during the 77-61 win over No. 24-ranked Northern Michigan in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. She added five rebounds as well, while posting a career-high eight steals.  The eight steals mark the most in a game for WSU since January 15, 2009, when Jasmine McCall posted eight at Saginaw Valley State. During the loss at No. 2-ranked Grand Valley State in the Round of 32, Ferguson once more impressed, with 16 points, a game-best five steals, a trio of assists, and a pair of offensive rebounds.
