Kelly LaCroix enters her 26th season directing the WSU diving program in the in the fall of 2020.  LaCroix served as diving coach from 1993-97, and returned in 1999.

During her tenure, LaCroix has guided 118 divers to All-American status (see list below), including Erika Barczak for four consecutive seasons (2005-08) along with Cayce Bolt (2007-10), Cassie Chetosky (2008-11), Carly Sevald (2010-13) and Elizabeth Rawlings (2014-17).  In 2005, Barczak became the first WSU All-American female diver since Susan Gierschick in 1986.  Chetosky became WSU's first female national diving champion in 2010, and Carly Sevald won the three-meter board in 2012 as well as being named Female Diver of the Meet.

Wayne State won two national diving titles in 2013.  Paige Kortman and Dylan Szegedi each won national championships in the one-meter diving competition. 

LaCroix is a four-time Female Diving Coach of the Meet at the NCAA Championships (2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017).

In 2014, Kortman finished second on the three-meter board, while Elizabeth Rawlings placed third and Alex Geddis-McCririe finished sixth.  On the one-meter board Kortman finished second, Geddis-McCririe placed seventh and Rawlings finished eighth.  Szegedi placed fourth in the one-meter diving competition and second on the three-meter board.

Szegedi won the three-meter board in 2015 and finished third on the one-meter board.  Rawlings set a school record (499.40) on the one-meter board and finished second.  Rawlings won a national title on the three-meter board with a national record score of 555.70, while Geddis-McCririe placed seventh.

In addition to her duties at the collegiate level, LaCroix has also coached at numerous high schools and the Western Aquatics Club in the summer over the last 32 years.

She was also named to the NCAA Division 2 Swimming and Diving Committee as the diving representative in July 2013.

LaCroix received her bachelor's degree in marketing from Eastern Michigan University in 1988.  She and her husband, Paul, reside in Taylor.  The couple has two adult children, Rachael and Erik.
