DETROIT - The Wayne State University volleyball team (8-3, 3-0 GLIAC) picked up its third straight home victory and its sixth win in seven matches overall in a four-set result (20-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-15) against the University of Findlay (4-6, 1-2 GLIAC) on Tuesday night at the Matthaei.

Wayne State, which came into the match with the second-highest blocking averaged in NCAA Division II (3.08), totaled 21 team blocks.  Kelsey Bonewits (Griffith, Ind.) had 14 blocks, the most by a Warrior since Lauren Mallast had 14 against Lake Superior State on Oct. 4, 2008.

After dropping the first set, the Warriors came back to win the next three, including a 25-12 win in the second set.  Wayne State was down, 16-15, midway through the third before winning 10 of the final 15 points.

The Warriors closed out the match on a nine-point run in the fourth (25-15).

Wayne State will host Saginaw Valley State on Friday night at 7:00, and Lake Superior State on Saturday at 2:00 to wrap up its five-match homestand.
