ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The Wayne State University men's basketball team (1-1) dropped a non-conference game at Lewis (4-0) 78-57 inside Neil Carey Arena on Saturday afternoon. Toma capped a 7-0 Warrior run with a layup to cut the Flyers' lead to 31-28 at the 3:18 mark. Lewis led 36-31 at halftime. Toma led all scorers with 12 points at break. The Flyers collected seven second-chance points in the first 20 minutes.
Bryan Coleman (Southfield, Mich. / Lathrup) connected on a three-pointer to open the scoring in the second half and pulled WSU within two at 36-34 but that would be close as WSU would come all night.
