SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. -- After securing a playoff spot on Thursday, the Wayne State University men's basketball team (15-9, 12-8 GLIAC) fell 90-47 at Lake Superior State (15-9, 12-8 GLIAC) on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers scored the first five points of the game and led 13-4 at the 15-minute mark.
Chuck Key (Detroit, Mich. / Cass Tech) trimmed LSSU's lead to 15-8 after a bucket with 12:26 left to play in the opening half. WSU's was unable to slow down the Lakers' offense as LSSU led 30-11 with just under seven minutes left to play. At halftime, WSU trailed 45-16.
- Lake Superior State continued to execute and led 56-22 at the 14:55 mark. With just under seven minutes to play, the Warriors trailed 76-33.

- Key was the only Warrior in double-digits with 14 points.
LSSU LEADERS
- Jordan Dasuqi led three Lakers with at least 10 points, scoring 18 points on six three-pointers.
