Box Score DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's tennis squad (9-7 overall, 5-2 GLIAC) won its fifth consecutive match with a 7-0 triumph on Senior Day against visiting Saginaw Valley State University (4-9 overall, 2-5 GLIAC) on Friday afternoon at the Doris J. & Donald L. Duchene, Sr. Athletic Facility.

DOUBLES
 
Junior Laura Cazacu (London, England) and senior Linda Liong (Sarawak, Malaysia) won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-0.
 
Seniors Irena van Meer (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and Brianna Douglas (Dayton, Ohio / Chaminade Julienne) won 6-3 at the second flight.
 
Senior Stephanie Stamate (Windsor, Ont.) and junior Carla Jewell (Hobart, Ind.) won the match by default.
 
SINGLES
 
 Sophomore Sabrina Laynes (Saginaw, Mich. / Heritage) won her No. 6 singles match by default.
 
At No. 4 singles, Jewell won 6-1, 6-0.
 
Liong won the No. 1 singles flight, 6-2, 6-1.
 
Freshmen Melanie Zampardo (Grosse Pointe, Mich. / University Liggett) won at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-4.
 
At No. 2 singles, Douglas won her match, 7-6 (8), 2-6, 10-4.
 
At No. 5 singles, Stamate won 6-3, 6-4.
