DETROIT -- The Wayne State University volleyball team (1-2 overall) came up short against Ohio Dominican (2-1 overall) in the sixth and final match of the 2024 Warrior Invitational on Saturday afternoon inside the Matthaei. The Warriors took the first set 27-25 before dropping the next three, 16-25, 16-25 and 13-25.

Kayla Dulgar earned the 12th double-double of her career and first of the season with 33 assists and 10 digs.

Kayla Giroux reached the 20-kill mark for the first time in her career with just three errors on 30 total attacks (.567 hitting percentage).
- For the tournament's three matches, Giroux hit .530 with 42 kills and only seven errors on 66 swings.
- Those numbers garnered her a spot on the All-Tournament Team alongside
Molly Miller.
- Miller hit .176 in the three outings with 41 kills and 23 mishaps on 102 attempts.
- Ohio Dominican out-hit Wayne State .312 to .098 and was more efficient with each set.
- The Panthers, in order, hit .122, .333, .429 and .483.
- The Warriors' best offensive set came in the first at .270.
- ODU notched 11 service aces to WSU's five and 14 blocks to the home team's four.
