TOLEDO, Ohio -- The No. 23-ranked Wayne State University men's tennis team (1-1 overall) fell 5-2 at the University of Toledo (4-6 overall) on Friday evening at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES
The Warriors gained an early advantage in doubles, as Benjamin Hill (Düren, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany / Burgau-Gymnasium) and Thomas Mathys (Grimisuat, Switzerland / ECCG - Martigny) nabbed a 6-3 win over Pannawat Suttisomboon and AJ Sidoti in the No. 3 position.

The Rockets corralled the doubles point however, as UT's Lucas Britez and Poonthong Komolpisut bested Harry Forsyth (Wamberal, New South Wales, Australia / The McDonald College [Mississippi College]) and Luis Klaus (Brühl, Germany / Archbishop's St. Ursula gymnasium [TH Köln]) 7-6 (7-3) in the No. 1 doubles.

In No. 2 doubles, the duo of Sam Knowles (North Shields, Tyne and Wear, England / King's Priory School) and Tom Wasner (Altenholz, Germany / Friedrichsort Community School) fell to its counterparts 7-5.
