Men's Swimming & Diving Wraps Up Preliminary Action at NCAA Championships

The Warriors will have competitors in a trio of events during tonight's finals.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The Wayne State University men's swimming & diving squad completed preliminary competition for the 2026 NCAA Championships on Saturday afternoon inside the Deaconess Aquatic Center. The Warriors will have representatives in three different events for the final session of the championships, led by William Debroux (Oro-Medonte, Ont. / ÉSC Nouvelle-Alliance) swimming in the timed finals of the 1650 free.

200 back - Advanced to Consolation Finals
15th - 1:45.58 - Lorenzo Tassinari (Ravenna, Italy / Liceo Scientifico Oriani)

20th - 1:46.14 - Gabriel Arias (Bogota, Colombia / Liceo Juan Ramón Jiménez)

In addition to the two events above, the Warriors will also have a team in the 400 free relay finals, which are slated to be the last competition of the national championships. Tonight's finals are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
