Women's Hoops Fourth in Third NCAA Regional Rankings

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's basketball team (22-6 overall) remains fourth in the third and final iteration of the NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings.

The Midwest Region consists of member institutions from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).

The NCAA Tournament selection show is set to air live at 10:30 PM on Sunday, March 8, on NCAA.com.

The conference tournament winners of the GLIAC, G-MAC, and GLVC will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, while five squads will earn an at-large bid to the big dance, totaling eight teams.

The women's basketball team will host Roosevelt University in the GLIAC Quarterfinal tonight, March 4, at 5:30 PM in the WSU Fieldhouse.
