Career Notes:  Played in 138 games (127 starts) in three seasons with the baseball program after coming over from Mott C.C. ... is the active career leader in runs (106), hits (146), total bases (209), doubles (34), extra base hits (45), total bases (209), runs batted in (85), walks (69), and stolen bases (29 in 31 attempts) ... a two-time GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team member (2024 and 2025) ...  also a three-time recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award (2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25) ... named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC following 2024 and elevated to Second Team All-GLIAC after the 2025 season ... collected College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors post-2024 ... 2025 season included several other awards, including a GLIAC Commissioner's Award, CSC Academic All-District honors for a second-straight season, a D2CCCA Second Team All-Region recognition, and a spot on the GLIAC All-Tournament Team following the conference tournament in Lansing, Mich.

2025:  2024-25 recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award ... received GLIAC Commissioner's Award for outstanding athletic and academic achievement ... bestowed CSC Academic All-District honors ... named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team ... garnered D2CCA Second Team All-Region distinction as a utility player ... recognized as a member of the GLIAC All-Tournament Team as a utility after hitting .316 (6-for-19) in Wayne State's five games ... named Second Team All-GLIAC for two positions, catcher and second base ... appeared in 51 of the team's 55 games, 49 of which were as a starter, and those 49 starts came at six different positions ... the 49 starting lineups included 16 at catcher, 13 at shortstop, eight at second base, six in right field, five at third base, and one in center field ... juggled all of those defensive responsibilities while hitting a career-high .341 (59-for-173), which was good for second on the team behind Bennett Hitzelberger's .349 and tied-for-12th in the league ... was also second to Hitzelberger for the team lead in hits ... notched an .877 OPS (tied-for-second among regulars), 40 runs scored (first on the team), nine doubles, three home runs, 34 RBI (first), 77 total bases (tied-for-second), 27 walks (second), three hit-by-pitches, 18 stolen bases (first, 18-of-19), three sacrifice flies, and two sacrifice hits while slugging .445 with a .432 on-base percentage (first) ... registered 16 multi-hit contests (second), eight multi-RBI outings (tied-for-third), the squad's second-best hitting streak at 11 (April 4-25), and second-longest reached-base streak at 20 (March 21-April 25) ... showed even more versatility as he started at least once in eight of the nine spots in the batting order ... hit .347 (26-for-75) in 21 GLIAC games, which was tied-for-12th in the league, with 18 runs, two doubles, two home runs, 18 RBI, 34 total bases, 11 walks, and six stolen bases (6-for-6) while slugging .453 with a .420 on-base percentage ... one of those two blasts was the go-ahead three-run bomb over the Green Monster in a 9-8 triumph against 21st-ranked Davenport in the teams' series opener on April 25 (suspended and continued on April 26) ... that 5 RBI performance against DU (one of his eight with 2+ driven in) was one of just five with five or more driven in by the Warriors all season, each of which came from a different player ... that same effort, McGuire notched four hits (4-for-5), one of Wayne State's three four-hit games on the year, the other two by Hitzelberger ... the other conference round-tripper for McGuire was on March 28 at Purdue Northwest ... third and final four-bagger for the campaign came on March 7 in game two against Point Park down in Auburndale, Florida ... fielded at a .941 clip on 219 chances with 140 putouts, 66 assists and 13 errors ... involved in eight double plays ... threw out 36 percent of opponent base stealers from behind the plate, 9-of-25 ... 2024:  Collected College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors ... named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team ... recognized as Honorable Mention All-GLIAC ... WSU's Swiss Army Knife, joined Maury as the only Warriors to start all 50 games and made the 50 starting lineups at five different positions ... those five spots included right field (16 games), left field (16), second base (8), third base (5) and center field (5) ... starting all over the field defensively, the switch-hitting threat still maintained a .317 batting average, which was good for third among WSU's regulars ... ended the season (April 6-May 10) on a 23-game reached-base streak (squad best by nine games) to go with nine multi-RBI outings (tied-for-first on the team), 16 multi-hit performances (second) and an eight-game hitting streak (tied-for-third) from April 6-16 ... the junior utility's four-hit day came on March 8 at Eckerd when he was 4-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, a double and a solo home run ... one of just three Warriors joining Kyle Ray (twice) and Logan Van Sicklen (once) with a five-RBI performance that came on March 27 against Saginaw Valley State ... that day, he was 3-for-5 with two runs, five driven in, one double and a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning ... overall, hit .317 (60-for-189) with 45 runs (squad best), 17 doubles (first), two triples, three home runs, 37 RBI (first), 90 total bases (first), 29 walks (first), seven hit-by-pitches (tied-for-first), two sacrifice flies and 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts ... 60 hits were first on the team ... joined Maury (13-for-16) as the only Warriors with double-digit steals ... slugged .476 with a .423 on-base percentage for an OPS of .899 ... defensively, registered a .912 fielding percentage with 95 putouts and 29 assists to 12 errors on 136 chances ... contributed to six double plays ... 2023-24 recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award ... 2023:  2022-23 recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award ... appeared in 37 games with 28 starts, including 14 in right field, 13 at third base and one as the designated hitter ... hit .248 (27-for-109) with 21 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples, one home run, 14 RBI, 42 total bases, 13 walks, and two hit-by-pitches ... went deep against Grand Valley State on April 15 ... registered multiple hits eight times:  vs. Davenport on March 24 (2-for-3, 1 2B), Grand Valley State on April 3 (2-for-4, 2 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI), Ashland on April 11 (2-for-4), Grand Valley State on April 15 (2-for-4, 2 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI), Ashland on April 18 (2-for-3, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI), Hillsdale on April 25 (2-for-4, 2 R, 2 2B), Parkside on April 28 (2-for-4, 3 R, 1 3B, 3 RBI), and Parkside on April 29 (2-for-3, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI) ... longest hitting streak of the season was seven games and came on April 14-22 (.321, 9-for-28), also his best reached-base streak ... in that April 25 contest against Hillsdale, scored the walk-off run in the bottom of the ninth inning (11-10 final score) thanks to Ryan Foley's single ...
