2004: Named to the GLIAC All-Academic team and the All-GLIAC second team ... earned national academic honors from the Cross Country Coaches Association ... three top 10 finishes ... five top 12 finishes ... best 8k time came at the Michigan Intercollegiates with a time of 25:54 ... qualified for and raced in the NCAA Championship ... best 5k was 15:11 at Hillsdale.

2003: Placed 22nd in his first collegiate meet, the Seagull Opener in Salisbury, Md. ... best 8k time came at the Lehigh/Paul Short Invitational with a time of 26:38.

High School: A 2003 graduate of Saranac ... earned eight varsity letters (four each in cross country and track) ... was a three-time all-conference first team selection ... finished second at the regionals as a junior, and was champion in 2002 ... a two-time academic all-state honoree ... a National Honor Society member ... qualified for junior olympics twice as a member of the Grand Rapids Track Club.
