Notes: Garina is only the fourth woman in NCAA fencing history to have back-to-back NCAA titles and the first in women[apos]s epeé (Penn State[apos]s Olga Kalinovskaya won four straight women[apos]s foil 1993-94-95-96; Notre Dame[apos]s Alicja Kryczalo won three straight women[apos]s foil 2002-03-04; and Yale[apos]s Sada Jacobson won two straight women[apos]s sabre 2001-02) ... she is the first WSU female fencer to be a three-time NCAA Champion ... is the first women epeeist in NCAA history to win three national titles.

2006-07: Voted WSU Female Student-Athlete of the Year ... captured the 2007 NCAA national title as she defeated Kelley Hurley of Notre Dame, 15-13, in the title bout ... compiled a 21-2 mark (+57 in touches) during round-robin competition at the NCAA Championship ... placed third at the NCAA Midwest Regional ... entered the Midwest Fencing Conference Championship as the fourth seed and after compling a 5-0 mark (+18 in touches) in pools was seeded fourth for the round of 16 ... defeated Northwestern[apos]s Sarah Gravlee (15-8) and Notre Dame[apos]s Amy Orlando (15-4) to reach the semifinals where she fell (15-11) to eventual champion Kelley Hurley of Notre Dame ... placed third in the individual competition ... helped the women[apos]s epee squad to a third-place finish at the MFC Championship.

2005-06: Earned First Team All-America honors for the third straight year after placing second at the NCAA Championship ... was the top seed after round robin with a 21-2 record ... defeated Ohio State[apos]s Kaela Brendler, 15-14, in the semifinals before falling to the 2003 NCAA Champion, Penn State[apos]s Katarzyna Trzopek, 12-11, in the national title bout ... claimed first place at the 2006 Midwest Fencing Conference championship hosted by Notre Dame ... compiled a 6-0 record during pool play as the No. 1 seed ... defeated Northwestern[apos]s Gabrielle Aiuto (15-6) in the round of 16, followed by victories over Ohio State[apos]s Aleksan Obrazcova (15-6), Notre Dame[apos]s Madeleine Stephan (15-11) in the semifinals and OSU[apos]s Kaela Brendler (15-7) in the championship bout.

2004-05: Captured the 2005 NCAA national title as she defeated Amy Orlando of Notre Dame, 15-6, in the title bout ... finished tied-for-third at the Midwest Fencing Conference championship at Notre Dame ... helped WSU[apos]s women[apos]s epee to the team title at MFCC ... placed first at the Michigan Open, NCAA Midwest Regional and NCAA Championship, and second at the Penn State open.

2003-04: Captured the 2004 NCAA national title as she defeated the 2002 champion Kerry Walton of Notre Dame, 15-10, in the title bout ... in the semifinals, she defeated the fourth seed, Anne Kercsmar of Duke, 15-12 ... finished the individual round-robin competition in first place with a 20-3 record ... won the women[apos]s epeé at the Midwest Fencing Championship ... helped women[apos]s epeé to a first-place team finish at MFC, including an upset of top-seeded Northwestern in the finals ... finished sixth at the North American Cup held on December 13 in Palm Springs, Calif. ... won the Penn State Open, Michigan Open, Midwest Collegiate Conference Championship, the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship and NCAA Championship ... record in dual meet competition was 49-3 (does not count opens, conference or NCAA Championships).

Pre-WSU: A 1994 graduate of Republican School of Physical Education ... earned the Deserving Sportsmen of Ukraine ... won the January 2003 Duel in the Desert as the top seed.
