Career:  A three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team selection ... qualified for the NCAA Championships all four years, earning Honorable Mention All-America accolades each of her last three seasons.

2016-17V
oted to the CoSIDA Academic At-Large All-America First Team after earning Academic All-District At-Large First Team honors ... finished ninth in the nation at the NCAA Championships (3/26) with a 12-11 record (+15 / 88-73 in touches) to earn Honorable Mention All-American accolades ... received Deans' Award from the College of Engineering for having the highest cumulative grade-point average of all student-athletes in that college ... fenced in 12 meets, 10 in foil, and two in sabre and foil ... finished first in the foil division and tied-for-third in the sabre division at the Danosi Open (12/11) ... was a perfect 10-0 at the Titan Invitational (1/14) ... posted a 5-1 record at the Northwestern Duals (2/4) ... went 10-3 at the MFC Championships (2/25) ... placed fifth, with a 6-3 record, at the NCAA Midwest Regionals ... placed 53rd out of 128 at the Foil Grand Prix in Long Beach, Calif. ... 2016-17 recipient of the DII ADA Academic Achievement Award.

2013-14:  Competed in all nine events, including finishing 14th in the foil at the NCAA National Championships (11-12 record) ... finished fifth at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship (7-2 record) ... placed ninth individually at the Midwest Fencing Conference Championship ... won two titles at the Danosi Open, winning the championship bouts in both the foil and epee ... placed second at the Remenyik Open with a 10-1 record overall ... went 12-0 at the Cleveland State Duals ... had an 11-2 mark at the Northwestern Duals ... named Primetime Performer by CollegeFencing360.com (Feb. 5) ... recorded a 41-9 mark during the regular season.

Personal:  Full Name--Zuzanna Sobczak ... born June 29, 1993, in Gdansk, Poland ... daughter of Ryszard and Anna Sobczak ... has one younger brother, Piotr ... both her mother and father were fencers ... Ryszard was a three-time Olympian earning a bronze medal in the men's foil team event for Poland at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics and a silver medal in the same event at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics ... is a civil engineering major ... named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.5+) for Fall 2013, Winter 2014 (4.00), Fall 2014, Winter 2015 (4.00), Fall 2015 (4.00), Winter 2016 (4.00), Fall 2016 and Winter 2017 (4.00) ... is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
