Biography

2016-17: SEASON: Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team ... competed in all eight meets … notched season-bests in the 200 back (2:13.71), 200 IM (2:17.78) and 400 IM (4:54.07) at the EMU Invite (12/3) … logged fastest times of the season in the 100 free (58.87) at Calvin (11/18) and 200 fly (2:27.72) at the EMU Triangular (1/21).

2015-16:  Named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team ...  2015-16 recipient of the DII ADA Academic Achievement Award ... did not compete in any meets.

2014-15:  GLIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS:  Competed in four events ... posted a time of 1:00.89 in the 100 back prelims ... also competed in the 200 back (2:12.88), 200 IM (2:14.95) and 400 IM (4:45.28).  SEASON:  Swam in seven meets ... swam the 50 free on one occasions at Oakland (11/1) and posted a time of 28.44 ... other top regular season times in the 200 free (2:09.27) vs. Calvin (11/14), 50 back (29.75) against Grand Valley State (1/10), 100 back (1:04.53), the 200 back (2:18.20) and the 400 IM (4:59.46)  at the Eastern Michigan Invitational (12/5), 100 IM (1:07.35) vs. Findlay (1/16), 200 IM (2:24.03) against Eastern Michigan (1/17).

High School:  A 2014 graduate of Grand Ledge High School ... was a four-year varsity letterwinner for the Comets ... a two time team MVP ... All-Area Dream Selections ... two-time All-Conference selection (2012-2013) ... All-American Academic.

Personal:  Full Name -- Rachael L. Charlow ... born on April 17, 1996, in Lansing ... daughter of Michael and Tanya Charlow ... has two siblings, Todd and Sara Spangler ... is majoring in kinesiology ... named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.5+) for Winter 2015, Winter 2016 and Winter 2017 ... named to the Coach's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.0-3.49) for Fall 2015.
