The Department of Athletics sets the facility rental fee structure and reserves the right to adjust fees based on usage needs and requirements. Rental fees do not cover the cost of staffing the facility and any external costs (custodial, security, etc.). The number of staff assigned will be determined based on the facility being utilized and the size and nature of the event (examples: basketball game, WSU student organization, corporate outing, etc.).
In addition to the facility rental costs and staff costs, there may be incidental charges for Wayne State units outside of the Department of Athletics: WSU Custodial Services, WSU Grounds Services, WSU Trades, WSU Parking and WSU Public Safety. The Wayne State Department of Athletics will determine the number of personnel (facility operation staff and/or event staff) required for the safeguard of Wayne State University's interest and policies. Next, all events will comply with rules and regulations established by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the GLIAC.
Finally, every group/organization looking to rent a facility will be required to obtain and carry insurance coverage. Insurance coverage IS NOT part of the rental fee. Insurance specifications/standards are developed and approved by the Wayne State Office of Risk Management and WSU Office of General Counsel. Insurance provisions include, but are not limited to: per occurrence general liability; automobile liability; workers compensation; etc.

Facility reservation fees are dependent on the following:
• Day and time of reservation
• Number of people attending event and number of staff required for event
• WSU affiliation (Student, Faculty Staff, Non-affiliated)
Part II.)
Contract Requirements:
1. Completion of facility use contract and payment. If the event is more than $5,000 in cost, fifty percent (50%) of total estimated costs deposit must be received seven business days prior to the event. If the event is less than $5,000 in cost, a non-refundable 20% deposit must be received seven business days prior to the event.
2. Read and sign Athletic Field Rules and Regulations.
3. Obtain and submit for approval general liability insurance as required by Wayne State University.
4. Cancellation by the renter for any reason must be made in writing within 48 hours before the agreed upon rental date.
