The University’s home course for both the men’s (and newly formed) women’s golf team is the Detroit Golf Club, located six miles from campus near Palmer Park. The private club was designed by the famed Donald Ross and includes both a north and south course and is the annual site of the annual President’s golf outing in support of athletics.

The Detroit Golf Club features two 18-hole courses designed by Donald Ross, are considered by top golfers among the finest in this part of the country. The minute you put foot on the North Course, you know it's a championship course. The South 18 plays a bit easier, but not much. Both courses offer fairways reminiscent of deep-pile carpeting. Greens are lush, close-clipped, true-rolling. Well-designated traps have been strategically placed by course experts.
