The original tennis courts have been behind the Matthaei since the building was built. The courts (south twelve) were re-surfaced in 2007 and again in 2012. An additional twelve (12) courts, north of the current configuration were removed in order to accommodate the new multipurpose building. A brick facade, individually displayed tennis scoreboard was added in 2011 and has created court-naming opportunities for alumni.
