Former Warrior (2017-18) Patrick Adams re-joined the Wayne State baseball program as a recruiting assistant under head coach Ryan Kelley prior to the 2025 campaign.  He will serve in the same capacity during the 2025-26 academic year.

In those two seasons as a player, Adams appeared in 88 games with 77 starts and an even .300 batting average at the plate.  Prior to transferring to WSU, the Detroit native spent a pair of seasons at Macomb CC.

2018:  Signed with the USPBL's Eastside Diamond Hoppers ... earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors as an outfielder ... a GLIAC All-Academic Team selection ... named team's Most Improved Player ... appeared in 48 games and made 47 starts (24 in RF, 22 in CF and 1 in LF) ... hit .341 with 11 doubles, two triples and one home run ... drove in 19 runs ... led the team with 24 stolen bases in 27 attempts, which also led the GLIAC ... finished second on the team with 35 runs scored ... finished with a .447 slugging percentage and a .426 on-base percentage ... was fourth on the team with 76 total bases ... drew 24 walks ... posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in 113 chances and tallied four outfield assists ... tied-for-second on the roster with 16 multiple-hit games and had five multiple-RBI contests ... had the longest reached-base streak on the team with 20 ... went 2-for-4 with a double vs. Kentucky Wesleyan (2/26) ... drove in a pair of runs, going 2-for-4 against Ohio Dominican (3/4) ... reached base four times versus Mansfield (3/16), going 2-for-3 scoring three runs and walking twice ... hit his first and only home run of the season vs. Ashland (3/31), going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored ... raised his batting average to .323 with a 4-for-5 performance with an RBI double and a run scored at Purdue Northwest (4/7) ... went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI versus Saginaw Valley State (4/22) ... also stole a program record five bases in that game ... collected a three-hit game at Northwood (4/28), scoring three runs and driving in one ... batting average reached a season-high .348 after a 3-for-5 game against Grand Valley State (5/6) and drove in three runs ... 2017:  Played in 40 games and made 30 starts (19 CF, 6 RF, 5 LF) ... hit .236 with six doubles, one triple and one home run, mostly hitting second in the lineup ... drove in 14 runs ... posted a .333 on-base percentage and a .336 slugging percentage ... drew 13 walks and scored 21 runs ... finished with a .984 fielding percentage ... notched seven multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI contests ... had an eight-game hitting streak and an eight-game reached base streak ... first hit as a Warrior came vs. Illinois-Springfield (3/5), where he went 2-for-3 ... drove in three runs at Saginaw Valley State (4/22) ... only three-hit game of the season also came at SVSU (4/23), going 3-for-5 and scoring three times ... collected his first DII home run at Walsh (5/7) ... started both games at the GLIAC Tournament and three of the five games during the NCAA Tournament ... Game-by-Game Stats.

2016 (Macomb CC):  Played in 44 games for the Monarchs and hit .351 with two home runs and 29 RBI, while scoring 26 runs and stealing 10 bases ... also collected seven doubles ... was voted to the All-MCCAA Second Team.

2015: (Macomb CC):  Appeared in 41 games and hit .339 with four doubles and 14 RBI. 

High School:  A 2015 graduate of Warren De La Salle High School ... was a two-year letterwinner for the Pilots and head coach Matt Cook ... also lettered twice in basketball and once in football ... his uncle, Gary George played baseball at Wayne State in 1977 and 1978.

Adams III ... born on July 3, 1996, in Warren, Mich. ... son of Patrick and Jacqueline Adams ... is a journalism major ... father played baseball at Detroit and was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 1981, then played in the minor leagues for the White Sox and San Francisco Giants until 1988 ... named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.5+) for Fall 2017 and Winter 2018 ... named to the Coach's Honor Roll (term gpa 3.0-3.49) for Fall 2016 and Winter 2017.
