Blair Koon, who enters her second year as head coach in the fall of 2023, served as the assistant coach of the WSU cheer team during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years.
Prior to her time at Wayne State, Koon served as the JV cheer coach/varsity assistant at Sterling Heights Stevenson (2017-18), the varsity cheer coach at Canton (2016-17) and the freshman, JV and varsity cheer coach at Livonia Stevenson (2008-16). She has also worked as a MCJA (Michigan Cheer Judges Association) official since 2016. In 2015, Koon was named Regional Coach of the Year.
Koon currently lives in Canton, Mich., with her husband Bobby and their two children, Bennett and Beckham.
