Kaithlin Fettes concluded her eighth season as the head coach of the dance team in the spring of 2022 after being hired at Wayne State University in August of 2014.
In April of 2022, WSU placed second in the Team Performance category, just 0.2 behind the national champion at the 2022 Dance Team Union College Classic in Orlando, Fla.  The Team Performance routine consisted of a combination of jazz, pom, and hip hop. The Warriors finished fifth in the very challenging Jazz category.
The 2019-2020 competitive season included a first and second-place finish in regional competition.
In 2019, the dance teams competed at the Dance Team Union College Nationals in Las Vegas where they placed second in Team Dance and fourth in Jazz.Â
Prior to her appointment at Wayne State, Fettes served as the Junior Varsity Pom/Dance Team Coach at Walled Lake Central High School for three years, later becoming the program director and head coach of the Varsity Pom/Dance Team for six seasons at Salem High School in Canton, Mich.Â
During her time with Salem, she coached her teams competitively at both the local and national level, making consecutive semifinal appearances, as well as becoming a National Finalist at the Universal Dance Association’s National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Fla.
Fettes is originally from Livonia, Mich. and went to Stevenson High School. Aside from coaching the dance team at WSU, she is a hairstylist. She currently lives in Canton, Mich., with her husband Johnny, and dog, Riley.
